Amazonas region is well-known for its production of high-quality coffee, particularly the “caturra” variety. The coffee plantations are meticulously handcultivated and processed using traditional methods, resulting in a unique and delightful flavor profile. The harvest in Peru begins in mid-April and lasts until October. The highest areas are always the last to finish, as they benefit from constant light rainfall due to their altitude. Peru depends heavily on its rainy season so that the coffee trees are flowering at the end of December and there is a good harvest for the following year.
